I have to start out by saying that this was not the type of book that I would normally read. I have to admit now that I am greatful that you took the time to write this book and that I took the time to read it. About halfway through the book I stopped reading. I was having a hard time believing. Then one afternoon I was taking a walk and I started thinking about your book and how I really needed to at least finish it and have an open mind. I wondered if I would even recognize a sign from God. It would have to drop from the sky and hit me on the head before I would see it. Right then I looked down and there was a small blue plastic cross on the path right in front of me. I actually thought I was imagining it. I looked around to make sure nobody was watching me and picked it up. It was real. I believe it was my sign from God. I do believe and am grateful.

I’ve passed this book on to many friends and family so I have to apologize if your book sales have declined

Loved your book, Jeff! For a book about the supernatural, “Everyday God” is the most practical and down-to-earth testimony of how a divine God speaks, guides, and interacts with man through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. You write in a natural, non-sensationalized manner which draws the reader into believing that supernatural encounters and divine appointments are the most natural thing in the world. Your honesty, humor, vulnerability, and humility will definitely encourage anyone reading this book to seek and expect a living, experiential, and adventuresome relationship with Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is a book to pass on to all the “normal everyday” people in your life who are wondering what life with God is supposed to look like!

Jeff, great book! I started reading it because it was from an old class mate of mine. I finished reading knowing I can also have God in my everyday life. Thanks a lot Jeff!!!

Jeff, your book was like sitting in your basement with you and Dawn and talking. Of course the book stayed on track which our conversations do not (wish I would have known then what I know now about the Angels) You were so open and honest in sharing your life with me and others. Knowing you and Dawn is a blessing. Richard especially loved the way you talked about yourself. It took courage and wisdom to admit your weaknesses. Because I personally know you I found myself smiling and laughing at many of the stories because I could just see you and how you would have reacted. Can’t wait for your next book because there has to be more to share with the world.

Jeff – I enjoyed your book, it was eye opening and inspirational — I realize I take a lot of things for granted and waste a lot of time on my own pity party when I should appreciate what God has given me and take more time to thank him and ask for guidance for the days ahead!!!

Well this book “Everyday God” was amazing to how I have felt so many times. I totally believe in God, and some of the subjects you talked about in your book have so interested me. Lots of pages have folds as we did in high school. 🙂 I heard you have plans to come to the Depot on July 13,(which is my birthday, no age mentioned – LOL) I will not be able to make it but plan on sending a friend to have you sign my book. Just want to thank you for the writing of your book, and I also love the humor in your book too. And I lived a couple blocks east of you.

This book is like a mini training manual in which to help draw the reader in and bring before them a ‘menu’ of a possible MORE that’s in store for them! It will wet and perhaps stretch one’s appetite to hunger and thirst for more of God and GO BEYOND where one has perhaps encountered the Lord on a personal level. With that said…I encourage every reader to hunger and thirst for more of God on an “EVERYDAY GOD” basis and watch him satisfy and fill you with perhaps many ‘great and unsearchable things/encounters’ you have not known! Psalm 107:9, Jeremiah 33:3

What a testimony to how God shows up in our lives! Good books change people’s thinking or behavior – this book encourages me to do a better job of watching for God and how He answers our prayers, especially when He chooses to answer them in a way we don’t expect. Thank you Jeff for sharing your God experiences with us!

I was right there with Andrea! But per John 10:4, as you spend more time with Holy Spirit, the “freakiness” is replaced by expectation, then intimacy, then true relationship…and then the fun begins 🙂 Another great read on this topic that I would recommend is Good Morning Holy Spirit, by Benny Hinn.

You have obviously been praying for your readers. I can’t describe it well, but it’s like I’ve got an extra army of angels and extra nudges from the Holy Spirit that seem to be somehow associated with this book. It started out so ordinary, than took on life. Kinda freaky – tell you the truth. But you understand, I know, because you’ve been there.

“Everyday God” is an easy read. Jeff’s relaxed writing style makes it feel like we are sitting down and having a personal conversation with him. We appreciated his sincerity and authenticity as he openly shared his initial skepticism followed by the ways God worked to move him from unbelief to belief. We also appreciated the scripture references and his sharing what God taught him in each of the experiences. We found the book a good reminder of the importance of recording our own “spiritual markers” as permanent reminders of all the ways we have experienced God’s faithfulness in our own lives.

“Everyday God” is a perfect reminder of how God (and His love) is all around! This book provides comfort, spiritual strength, and speaks to the heart. As a nurse I am excited to share this inspiration with patients and families going through tough times. This book has the power to touch SO many lives!

I just finished “Everyday God” and feel a strange sense of peace on knowing that I’m not the only one that questions the amazing and sometimes strange ways God shows up in people’s lives. This book is a great testimony that God IS faithful even in our times of doubt.

Amazing testimony about how God uses people creatively in both the “simple” and extraordinary ways. A great testament to God’s goodness and sense humor as well! What a great encouragement to keep trusting in the Lord and to dare to step out in faith and see what God will do.

UPDATE – The Young Life cake auction fundraiser was a success. I literally only had 15 seconds to talk about the book, but it got the word out, and neighbor of ours called in and bought the particular cake that Everyday God was placed with for $350!
